Program Installation

Hello, I'm an x-windows user. I love Ubuntu, but need some help getting off the ground. Can you help me to get all of my old programs up and running?

I need to start by getting the Lego mindstorms NXT and Lego digital designer programs.

By the way, I have basic knowledge of terminals, the software center, etc. (Also, I'm using 10.10)

I believe that Lego has chosen not to support Ubuntu (please correct me if I am wrong), but you could give it a try in Wine.

If all your old programs are Win* programs, they won't run natively on Ubuntu. They may run with Wine or in Virtualbox. Check http://appdb.winehq.org/
