Making a custom build of Ubuntu

I'd like to make a custom build of Ubuntu where its stripped to its bare bones. Basically I wanted it to have access to the internet, an internet browser, the game minecraft, a movie player and the terminal. But that's all I want. Is this possible? If so where should I start?
