I have this new printer from canon and as usual it does not work with ubuntu. No surprise there.
At any rate I am using a emachine (not good either) and ubuntu 10.10. I am trying to get a printer to work with this machine and ubuntu so that I do not need to use windows except for blue rays.
I tried to install using the existing drivers for cannon even though they are not specific for this printer and as I expected they do not work. But it was worth the try.
Now does any one know if there is a driver for this printer. It is a real nice printer and I will use it in windows if I have to but again I want ubuntu to work with it.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated..
