I downloaded the latest CD and burned it... booted from that CD and video works fine. Installed Ubuntu to a blank 50 gig partition. When I reboot to that partition where I installed Ubuntu, I get no video. I can hear the drum sounds, but video doesn't init... blank screen. I have an nvidia 9600GT card with 512 megs of memory. any ideas? Please note, I am a TOTAL NOOB to Linux. I have absolutely no idea how to access or edit files, etc. Just want to install this and learn about it. Thanks.
