I looked over the internet for solutions, all forums are the same old story. Useless posts.
Anyone why do flash in ubuntu crashes, hang up?
Why don't they make patch for it? They are all geniuses i think. If i'm only a geek, i would probably make a script for it and post it to all linux forums.

PLEASE HELP US!

mine works fine.

how did you install your flash ?

Installed from adobe with 64bit...
Installed firstaid plugin on firefox.. but still, errors exist.
Downgraded to flash9, didn't work too.
Installed again, from repo, working but again, with errors.

all i do is install "ubuntu-restricted-extras", so i'm running the 32bit version under 64bit ubuntu.

What do you mean by the firstaid plugin for firefox? Is this the same as the flashaid plugin by lovinglinux, which I use with no problems or difficulties.

However I have to admit this is on a 32 bit system. 64 bit has always been more of a problem, I believe, though I thought it had now been sorted.

Using 32 bit Flash with 64 bit Ubuntu is known to be a bit iffy.

Better to use 64 bit:
Download here: http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/flashplayer10_square.html
Extract the .so file from that, and put it in ~/.mozilla/plugins
Restart Firefox.

It's that easy, and working great here.

i've never had a problem with 32 on 64, so i don't bother with an alpha 64bit flash version.

Well, ive heard that adobe is very sloppy with their code.

also, if you use flash in firefox its pretty awful because both take a lot of ram.

flash works fine for me. i installed directly from adobe tar.gz that i simply copied into the .mozilla/plugins directory

That's why my ubuntu is still 32bit.
Tried 64 at least 3 times... not worth it at the moment.

Flash always managed to turn any machine I owned into a brick. It crashes, hangs or mysteriously consumes 100% CPU.

Eons have passed and Adobe still have yet to learn how to code.

You think its annoying on ubuntu? BSD uses a emulator from linux. be happy you have some support. Here is the best way i find.

Press pause on your video.
Let it load first.
Then press play.

Then it works usually for me.
