Has anyone thought of creating a single archive to store old Ubuntu wallpapers, colour schemes, icons, etc.? For example, I love 8.04's Hardy Heron wallpaper. I was able to get it from an archive that I found by chance. I forget the person's name, but he mentioned this particular archive in a forum. I think such an archive would not only be useful, but a link could be added to the fora menu, making it easy to find.
Am I alone in liking some of Ubuntu's past cosmetic features?

Yes, there are probably archives out there somewhere, but they are not easy to find. And as we just discovered, these sites may change their content and drop what we are looking for. I think a single archive with a link in the fora menu is a great idea. Ubuntu has been around long enough and is big enough to have sufficient old items that that need not be deleted. I believe such a feature would add to the greatness of Ubuntu.

In fact they are (relatively) easy to find if you click on the link in the post before yours.

Although, to be honest, it can be a bit tedious finding exactly what you want there.
