Well, I've done something silly, I think.
I was going to try to install a GUI replacement for the BIOS menu, and I got about halfway through the instructions in the article (which I now can't find) when my computer shut down. (I hadn't even noticed it was running on battery power because it came unplugged)
I don't actually care about the program, or remember the name of it. The problem is that now whenever I open the update manager it says:
Could not initialize the package information
An unresolvable problem occurred while initializing the package information. Please report this bug against the 'update-manager' package and include the following error message:
'E:Type'"deb' is not known on line 59 in source list /etc/apt/sources.list'
So clearly somewhere in the instructions the other night, I must have added a repository, but it was typed wrong or something, right?
Truthfully, I'm not sure this doesn't belong in Absolute Beginners because I feel like it's a stupid problem, but I appreciate your patience in reading and hopefully helping!
