When i am booting the system, it shows the below error after some alpha numeria hexa decimals

Mount : mounting /dev on /root/dev failed : No Such file or directory found
Mount : mounting /sys on /root/sys failed : No Such file or directory found
Mount : mounting /proc on /root/proc failed : No Such file or directory found
Target filesystem doesnt have /sbin/init

No Init found on target point init =bootarg
_______________
After this, busybox comes in with the Build in shell ( ash)

it does not have fdisk command , fsck and any of the solutions provided so far

When i try the fdisk or fsck it shown , the /dev/init is not available. I Checked the folder /dev and i"init"folder is not there

Some other answers i found in forum are also not available.

It has the latest Updated version of all the installed softwares and Kernal too. I don have a live ubuntu CD, instead i have only the actual installed version of CD

Please let me know if any solutions are available for the same . I have not tried the Live CD solution and i don know whether it is the only possible.

Please advice me asap.. My System is Dead Now..

Sorry I have no answers but I have almost the identical problem to yours. The last thing I did before this failure was try to install BBC iplayer/adobe air. This took ages and did not succeed.

I haven't found the threads that you seem to have tried, could you give me some pointers please.
