Hey everyone I'm new to Ubuntu just started with the 10.10 I'm also not a whiz with computers, so this may seem dumb to you guys but I can't figure out how to get my movies off my IPhone. I'am using just the basics I have the Movie player, Pitivi video editor, and Rhythm box. Any help would be awesome.

IPhone is 3GS Running 4.1 (8B117)
Thanks

Dunno if this will be of any help to you as I don't use Pitivi or Rhythmbox.

But I am using iPhone 3GS too with iOS 4.2.1 (8C148a), which I think is a later version than yours.

First, I upgraded to Ubuntu 11.04 and browsed its Synaptic package manager. Installed all packages that were shown after I searched "libimobile". This helps your PC to talk with Apple devices.

Then installed Arista Transcoder. This converts your .flv/.mp4 files to .m4v format, which is recognized by Apple.

Finally, I use gtkpod iPod Manager to transfer the videos to my iPhone. It works as seamlessly as it does when using iTunes.

In order to download Youtube Videos, you can use the Youtube Downloader Plugin on Chrome/Firefox.

Again...I am no expert here, but I am just trying to help :-)
