I've had that problem too w/ firefox on windows. Its in bugzilla.

Try backing up your bookmarks and deleting the entire mozilla profile directory.

As soon as Firefox 1.0.1 hits Hoary/Sid, I'm backporting it, for the IDN spoofing fix. Hopefully, it'll fix this issue.

I'm not gonna wait for 1.0.1.... I'm backporting 1.0+dfsgwhatever now. It has a temporary workaround for the IDN bug, but also fixes many other bugs.

seams that ubuntu firefox modifications is out-of-date. When i disable this addon, all works...

Firefox 3.0.10
