Someone gave me their laptop that they wanted wiped and loaded with Ubuntu. I've tried installing it twice with the same results. I even burned a 2nd copy of the 10.10 disk to make sure the old disk didn't get damaged. I've installed it on other computers several times so I know I can do it. Heck any jackass can install it. Anyways here is a picture of the error I get.

My slightly educated guess is that a piece of hardware is junk. Any help is appreciated
