Hi
Basic information:
I run ubuntu 10.10-64bit on laptop-1. and run 10.10-32bit on laptop2 (latest updates installed).
I don't have issues playing video files in either one. All the internet streaming works great in both laptops. I have been using it this way for more than a year.

Now the issue:
I normally don't play DVDs, but when I do, I prefer VLC.
The thing is after playing DVD for about 6-7 mins the audio stops. If I wait long enough (no fixed wait time). Audio comes back for some time and then stops again.
And this happens on both of my laptops and on multiple dvds.
I know that the dvds are fin because I took a back-up of one (with acidrip) and the video file generated from it works without any problems.
So, I know it's not related to drivers.
But this is bugging me and I would appreciate any help.
