Runescape Java

hello i am new to the forums and i just installed ubuntu. i would like to know how to install java on ubuntu. when i try to play runescape this gray bock comes up and says missing plug-in and thats it. idk if its the java plugin or what? so please help me. if you dont know alot about the runescape requirements just try and help a newb figure out how to install java.
