Well, it seems like I've finally found a solution to the lack of VOIP support for Yahoo and Hotmail in Linux. Today I had this bright idea to check the Chrome App Store in Chrome browser to see what I could find there. There were a few, but I only installed the one that looked the most promising:https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/ocaebkdojpikfmhmnekiflipcicedobi
I haven't gotten around to try making a call just yet, as for some reason all my online contacts are on mobile. I've just been reading the comments posted on the app's page. So far, the only reoccurring complains I saw was about Skype not working properly in this app. That's ok though, as the native Skype is working just great for me.
I hope this will help someone who has been looking for a similar solution.
There might be other VOIP Chrome Apps that others could recommend. Feel free to post your comments below.
