I have a customer that wants to play with Ubuntu/Linux and their computer is a Dell Dimension 5100 tower. The problem or questionable issue is if I install Ubuntu and dual boot with WindowsXP will this negate the restore partition residing on the drive. It is brought into play with Ctrl +F11 at boot and I'm afraid if grub is installed it will interfere with that restore feature. Normally I would just give it a try on my own computers knowing I could always wipe and start fresh but my customer hasn't the skill or knowledge to straighten out a mess like that. So will dual booting mess up the restore feature ?
