I'm having some bugs with Compiz and Gnome. The first one is that when Compiz is enabled, half the time submenus wont register when you mouse over them. You have to click and then move your mouse around before it will open it. I've seen this posted here before with plenty of people confirming it but not one fix or workaround was ever mentioned.

Secondly, I have some strange wrapping going on with the Expo plugin in Compix. The picture I've provided speaks for itself.

Please, I'm looking for solutions.

Well great. I upgraded to Compiz 0.9.2.1 hoping that it would solve my problems but it has only made thinkgs worse.

If I go to Appearance Preferences > Visual Effects and set it to Normal/Extra/Custom (to enable compiz) it will load and everything will work fine for a few seconds but the Appearance Preferences window is completely grayed out, and then compiz unloads and the window remains grayed out and I have to force quit it.

I can however use 'compiz --replace & compiz-decorator --replace' without any issues.

Somebody tell me how to fix this.
