Hi,

I run ubuntu 10.04. My laptop has 2 hard disks (a ssd and a conventional one). I use the second hard disk for backups and for storing stuff I want to access only now and then. I usually don't have any partition on the disk mounted. It's really just there in case.

I set the advanced power management level of the second hard disk to 127 so that it is spun down when not in use. After hibernation & resume ubuntu resets the apm level to 254. Thus on every resume the hard disk is spinning.

Is there a way to make ubuntu ignore the second hard disk? Or can I keep it from spinning/powering up the hard disk after resume?

Regards,
Tom
