What are peoples opinions of the Texas Instruments eight core processor (http://focus.ti.com/docs/prod/folders/print/tms320c6678.html). Is it to be expected to not only see more of the dual core smartphones, but ones with greater numbers of cores, or will this type of technology be too power hungry to be used in phones. In that case it might a good processor for a notebook or desktop.

Calculators can already play Doom. Why shouldn't we go all the way and make them able to play Crysis? :)

With the convergence of technology, calculators may soon become, and to an extent already are, obsolete. Then again, institutions like schools with strict technology policies are not going to allow people to use the calculator on their smartphone/tablet for a math test. But then again 10GHz calculators would be pretty epic.
