I wish to install the Broadcom STA driver on my Hard Drive cause the wireless card doesn't work anymore... I have B4321 as my card I think and I need to get internet on this thing so I can install more things... is there a way to redirect installation and download so it installs on the hard drive instead of the Live CD?

and I get this error a lot on the live CD when trying to install the STA driver

SystemError: Failed to lock /var/cache/apt/archives/lock

and this one

SystemError: installArchives() failed

Hi, welcome to the fora.

It is not clear to me what the state of your system is. Having wired internet access, can you install a working Ubuntu and apply all updates?

I currently have 10.10 installed but it is not the current Kernel... I cannot install any updates cause I do not have wireless on my hard drive only on my Live CD version. They are both the same Kernel and both 10.10 yet the hard drive one doesn't have the b43 wireless firmware on it for some reason.

Find an Ethernet connection out here on the road at travel centers? XD yeah like that'll work... there is no place out here at TA, Petro, Flying J, Pilot, Loves or any others that have a hard line Ethernet connection anymore since IdleAire went out of business... I need a way to reroute the installation.

You did not provide any information in your original post about the availability of wired connections. Therefore, I asked a simple question in order to determine how I could provide help. You have given a derogatory reply; therefore, you are on your own.
