How do you suggest i repartition,...?

I would like that my programs remain installed if something would happen to the system, if possible, and of course, a /home partition.

I have a Compaq Mini 700 EI with 60GB hdd, and 1GB ram

What is the partition for installing programs?!?

I thought about:
/ 5 gigs?
/boot 200 megs
/swap 2048 megs
/home "rest"

do you have any options or remarks?

since you have a 60GB HDD and 1GB RAM,

/boot - 500MB
/SWAP - 1024MB (swap usually set the same as your RAM size)
/usr - 20GB (for generous install)
/home - rest (music video etc. usually the biggest)
hope this helps
