guys am learn javascript i have a problem. in tutorial. they says

Given that y=5


operator Description Example Result
% Modulus (division remainder) x=y% 2 x=1 y=5
i dont know how x=1?
when i try to understand it on calculator. 5%2
it gives error mallformed expression. so What is it mean.?
also explain it

Given that x=10 and y=5
operator Example Same As Result
%= x%=y x=x%y x=0 x=0?
looks like am noob in math also :P

Explain please.:P
