I'm having a problem installing Ubuntu Server 64 bit; both 10.10 and 10.04, to boot off a RAID1 drive. I've set it up as following using 3 identical hard drives, partitioned identically.
RAID 1 drive : /boot - 1 GB
RAID 5 drive : SWAP - 1 GB
RAID 5 drive : / - 498 GB.
After it installeds it boots up to:
ALERT /dev/disk/by-UUID/ e6c26.......01dc does not exist.
then drops into a busybox shell.
the list of the folder /dev/disk/ gices:
by-path by-id
by-uuid isn't showing up.
I've searched the fourms for the past 2 days and haven't found a solution.
Installing the server using guided partitioning works fine, but I'm looking for a RAID setup.
Has anyone solved this problem?
