View Full Version : [ubuntu] Dell Vostro 1320 Default Hardware Button Behavious

This is going to be a shot in the dark. I have a Dell Vostro 1320 running Ubuntu 32-bit 10.10. What I am wanting to do is have the hardware play button above the keyboard open my Banshee Media Player. I know that it's a simple click to open it already as it's on my taskbar, but, It's just a coolness thing. Any ideas?

simply to leave an updated answer for this thread:

You can use keyboard shortcuts.
in 12.04, type 'keyboard' in the launcher.
in keyboard window, click shortcuts tab
click SOUND and MEDIA on the left panel
click 'Launch Media Player'
press Fn + the play function key on your keyboard.

but you could still achieve coolness without this 8-)

(and you can also mark your thread as solved)
