Today I've decided to see what's up with the whole gnome 3 project, and was shocked. They're getting rid of a lot of drop-down menus to replace with application thumbnails. To reduce "clutter?". I see the functionality for netbooks, but for desktops who needs it?

I like the desktop being uncluttered, as the same as I like signitures to be sort. Uncluttered = less time scrolling down the current program you are using therefore saving time.

Why would you want a cluttered desktop?

I don't want a cluttered desktop. I don't see how gnome 2 design was cluttered.
