Im using Ubuntu 10.10 and i am currently running AWN and ive found cairo dock. And id like to know the differences between the two. Ive already looked them up a bit, but id like to hear some firsthand experiences about them. Im liking AWN but ive read a bit saying that cairo dock is better.
also im still pretty new to ubuntu.

Thanks very much

I have used both and I am favoring the Awn testing PPA at the moment . Awn is less resource hungry on my system . I think they are both nice docks.

i prefer awn, constantly it's updated, fixes & features come faster. cairo-dock on the other hand is a mess imo, sure they have features, but ugh!

just try it, easy to install & remove, you really just got to play with it to know.

I used AWN until I found Cairo... And have never thought about AWN again....

It is also updated weekly and sometimes even more, so whatever data the above AWN user is going by is dated or simply uninformed.
