I browse through the "How To" and try to learn more and sometime the hardware support to see I could be of any help and at the same time learn from other problem as well. So what do you guys do?

I realized I depend on webforums way too much and decided to get away from my computer more and start hitting the gym and getting fresh air more often.

I think I speak for everyone when I say that I sat and waited, looking longingly at my monitor, until about week...2 and a half, at which point I began to break out in cold sweats and took to biting my nails heavily.

Then the drinking started.

I didn't post for a few months, so I hardly missed it.

Cried, but then I went to work, did some tutoring on the side, hit the gym, played some games, spend time with my fiancée, visited a local apiary, and then came home and cried some more.

I chilled with my friends, for once.

They were all "wtf? I thought you had to play with your 'yooo-bun-tooo'" Well, I am now. :)

Posted in absolute beginner talk. It is too cold here to do much outside other than work.

Every hour on the hour, I sent a nag IM to each of the Forum Staff and Admins, along with an email to Mark Shuttleworth. I'm convinced that were it not for my diligence, the Cafe would be down for another year. :)

This is one of the forums I check multiple times a day, so it sucked not having it -- but I have other forums I hang out in that gave me my webforum fix :)

I got a girlfriend. We broke up the day the Cafe opened again, because I no longer have time for a relationship.

O_O Why? :lolflag:

Couldn't take it any more. It was THE most unreliable, most breaking-est down machine I have EVER had the misfortune of dealing with. Gave me problems from day one. Nursed it along for over 5 years.

When the Cafe went down, I lost it!

P.S.: Oh yeah, and wished I could have done to some of those threads what bug67 did to his G5.

The Cafe went down about the same time I bought my Pandora preorder, so I went to the boards (http://boards.openpandora.org/index.php?/topic/1876-new-high-priority-project-powervr-drivers/) there.

Weeped inconsolably until I discovered porn. Did you know there's porn on the internet? Amazing.

I wasnt very active on the café anyway, not for the recent few months. But I did help people out on the Absolute beginner's subforum and changed my avatar for a.. more up to date picture of me.
It's fun that when you change avatar no one will know who you are :D

The Thunderbolt is Verizon's version of Duke Nukem Forever. ;)

I waited, not very patiently, for it to reopen.

The help foruns are where I can give a little to the community; the cafe is where I get a little enjoyment in return.

UF wouldn't be worth coming to without the cafe!

I sat in a dark corner of my room, shooting up heroin, but screaming, "It doesn't fill the void!".

I bought a 9600 GT, played fallout 3 for 72 hours straight, then without pausing, oblivion for 144 hours straight. And a lot of other stuff....

darrenn: [looks at computer clock] Damn! When are the forums going to be up again?
[clicks on workspace #2, looks at clock]
darrenn: Damn!

darrenn: Damn, Damn!
darrenn: hmmmm maybe they are playing some sort of trick on me. [logs out of ubuntu forums still doesn't work]
darrenn: DAMN IT!

Learned proper concord (subject-verb agreement). :P
