I'm running Ubuntu 10.10 64bit on a Lenovo T400s with the optional Mobile Modem option:

Bus 002 Device 002: ID 0bdb:1900 Ericsson Business Mobile Networks BV F3507g Mobile Broadband Module

I've put a activated Telstra pre-paid sim (which I've tested in another modem) into the internal modem and started ubuntu only to find that it doesn't register in Network Manger. It shows up but as
Mobile Broadband
not registered.

This is an activated sim and I've tested it with a standard USB modem and it works. I remember that this worked under Ubuntu 10.04.

Has there been a regression here?
Is there a module I have to load or something?

I've setup a broadband connection in the network manager and tried to connect to it even though it said 'not registered' and it doesn't connect. No real surprise there.
