Installed Ubuntu 10.10 and found that only the backspace on my keyboard works!

Have you told GNOME (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GNOME) or KDE (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/KDE) which keyboard you're using?

My keyboard is not listed, that's whats annoying.

Well... if it's not listed, then it's probably not supported by the Linux kernel, and if so, you either need to compile your own or upgrade to a newer Linux kernel.

There is a possibility to use a keyboard which isn't exactly the same as yours, you can try that if you haven't already done so. Also, using a standard keyboard layout should work out for most keyboards with some special keys not working.

I've tried most of the listed and none work.

Any ideas on how to make it work?

From reading it's content from different google searches, I think you should try with another keyboard instead. Bad luck it seems!
