Problem installing netbeans 6.9.1 on Ubuntu 10.10

I downloaded the installer .sh from netbeans.org and ran the shell script. Here is the output that was generated:

Searching for JVM on the system...

Running the installer wizard...

(return to bash)

Any ideas?
