OK. first time tinkering with non-windows ....
Im running a dell laptop 15r N5010.
Ive used wubi to install ubuntu (10.10) and I can now dual-boot into ubuntu.
However ..... I cant get any network access :( wifi isnt working nor is hard wired LAN. ive done a lot of googling and ive then gone and checked eth1 - which states that device not found.
i dont want to ditch windows completely so the dual boot is important. im not hugely techie (I work in IT but my technical skills stopped at COBOL !)
Really keen to get ubuntu up and running. i guess even if i got wired lan connected i could at least google and download drivers without having to switch back to windows 7 regularly :(
