Compiz ADD Helper issue

I'm not sure if Compiz is considered a desktop environment, so I'm sorry if this is the wrong place to post...

Anyway, this issue isn't too big, but I think there could be a solution.
I enabled the ADD helper, and I do like how it darkens the windows and everything.
Only thing I dislike about it is how long it takes for a window to fade back into its original brightness.
I don't know if there is an option I can change to make it re-brighten faster, or if I have to go in and edit some particular file.

If it makes any difference, I'm running Ubuntu 10.10

You might try playing with the Trailfocus plugin instead. It's similar, but the effect seems to be instantaneous. By default, it changes opacity of unfocused windows, but it can be set to change lightness and saturation instead.
