Hello
If I run a program with sudo or logged in as the root user that program is unable to play sound. I get errors along the lines of "No valid sound driver".

I'm using ubuntu 10.10, I haven't had this problem with previous versions of ubuntu or other linux distros so I'm hoping someone will know whats changed.
Please help. :confused:
Also "Don't use root" is not an answer.
