Machine slowed down after upgrade

I upgraded laptop from 10.04 to 10.10. Now the machine seems to have slowed down. How do I fix this one? http://ubuntuforums.org/images/icons/icon6.gif Themba Mot

Slowed down in what way ? accessing files, booting up, general desktop ?

Did you install any propriatary drivers needed like nvidia or ati to speed things up ?
