As most of you will be aware, we had downtime this past Monday to install a new database server in an attempt to alleviate the performance issues we have been experiencing.
This upgrade went as smooth as anybody could have hoped for, and has helped matters greatly. Unfortunately, however, the secondary database server is still struggling to keep up with the demand it faces. As such, Canonical are replacing this with another new server with the same specification as our primary server.
They estimate this will be done on Tuesday or Wednesday, and we should be in a position to re-enable the features within 24 hours of this upgrade.
No downtime will be required for this work.
