At the moment I am running OpenSUSE, but I want to switch to Ubuntu.
Will my USB wireless network adapter (chipset rtl8187L) work on Ubuntu? I never got it to work on OpenSUSE...

Both my wireless adaptors work very sweetly, but they're Atheros and ZyXEL. There is a list of cards on this forum under Networking and Wireless at http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=370108 which might be able to answer your question better than I can.

I have an Intellinet adapter. It is not on the list, but I will install Ubuntu anyway :)

Good luck mate. I reckon the hardware drivers are fairly comprehensive for Debian/Ubuntu, so the chances are good if it's not too rare or vintage. I'm not an expert on modern hardware, but I have faith.

Welcome to the forum too.
