In the system menu go to Administration. Then open "Startup Disk Creator, select your source, either an ISO or CD, and your target -- your Kingston pen drive in this case.
If you want to be installing Ubuntu from your pen drive rather than from a CD, go to the Ubuntu Download page -- http://www.ubuntu.com/desktop/get-ubuntu/download and in step 2 check USB stick instead of CD and click on "Show me how".

Welcome to the forums.

corncob suggestion is for putting the liveCD onto a USB. With 4GB that is porbably the best solution. You can also turn on persistence to let you save some updates, but it is not a full install.

If you have a flash drive 8GB or larger then you can do a full install which is just like an install to any second drive with maybe a few differnt settings for flash to reduce writes.

With grub2 persistant C.S.Cameron post#5 10.10:

It does not have to be encrypted:

I do not think you can get more detailed than C.S.Cameron's posts or the link to Herman's site.
