Hi,
I'm about to install Ubuntu 10.10 in my laptop which I will use exclusively to work (ubuntu, i mean. not the laptop :P). So I'll use ubuntu for programming in C and I want to install a virtual box with win xp on it, so I can have some software like Matlab, PSPICE, Xillinx maybe...
I'm wondering how much space on disk should I reserve when installing Ubuntu?
Thanks

That is entirely up to you , just make sure you have enough to do and store your work.

keep in mind Ubuntu doesn't consume large amounts of space like windows.

heck, i have 3 browsers, several games, openoffice, and wine, and i'm using less than 8 gig of disk space.

Ok, I know that's up to me.
I already have ubuntu installed, but i only have 4GB left. Is this enough to install virtual box with windows xp, and inside of it, install matlab and pspice? (i don't think so...)
so i'll have to reinstall ubuntu with a little more space reserved.

i was just asking how much space do i need to install virtual box with windows xp + matlab + pspice...

IMO you would need at least 10 gig for XP.
