Can't fully change language in 10.10

Hi,

I have a fresh Ubuntu 10.10 installed in spanish and I found out when I tried to create a new user in English that just part of it is in English. For example, the name of most of the applications are still in Spanish, and all the OS notification are also in Spanish, as most of the programs.

I've tried to turn to some other language and exactly the same things are translated.

Any idea?

Creating a new user in English - I'm not certain that I understand this. Don't you select the language in the GDM (login screen) (thus, separate from the user profile?)
