i am thinking of installing 1 or 2 1tb 7200 rpm hard drives in my computer but will they stay cold enough or do i need to find some way of keeping them cold?

Should be fine, unless you've got a very hot system, or no airflow.

Depends on the type of case you are using. If it is a micro computer, then maybe you need to add a fan, if it is a "normal" size desktop, then maybe not. HDDs don't heat up that much, unlike GPUs or CPUs. Its also important where you will mount them (physically put them in the box).
There are not enough information, to tell for sure ...

According to those pictures, no additional cooling will be needed, those two fans in the rear are good enough. :)
I would put the disks so, that they are not near each other, picture 2. shows you have enough space to do so.

I'd agree. it should be fine. As long as the fans at the back are sucking air out of the case anyway.
If you are worried, you can check the HDD temps. I do it with the ever reliable 'finger', if the HDD is hot to touch then its running to hot, if its body temp or lower its fine.
Looks like there is a fan mount in front of the HDD rack as well, if its running hot just install a fan in there.
