trying to install ubuntu netbook on my acer using a usb flash drive, first i receive the error for the wireless, i need to install b43...
so i connect using a wire and try to install and get about 80 -90% complete and then gives an error for overheating on the cd drive??? i was able to install jolicloud, but would prefer ubuntu for more flexibility.

ps i did the bittorrent download for 10.04, i did not try it for 10.10

i finally got 10.10 and here is how
i had to load 10.04 lts
after system was up and running i did the updates, (but i could't update to 10.10 through the update manager after several attempts see above)
so i then down loaded 10.0 netbook iso on the bittorent
then made a live usb using startup disk creator
and then rebooted with the usb and bam 10.10 netbook is on my acer!!!
hope this helps others!
