Whaddya think? I'm not fond of mp3 -- but I was looking through my cassette collection this morning...

DAMN!! it would be cool to have that on my box. I found rare blues, etc., etc., etc.

I forgot I had so many cassettes -- I've been making them since 1976 and before they all rot - I'd like 'em on discs.

Whaddya y'all think -- and don't tell me to take my out from my home audio to in on my soundcard -- I have 2000 tapes - NO REAL TIME!!!

Thanks.

Dosn't look bad, I also have loads of tapes and encoding in real time sucks and takes ages.
Question is will it work with ubuntu ?

Don't see why not -- just another piece of hardware.

It's so cool being able to go through life over-simplifying things.

I'd just find someone who does this professionally and fork out the cash...

Is there another way than straight up recording it? I don't recall ever seeing a cassette drive (though if one exists, I WANT IT. That would rock hard. Heck I'd even like an 8-track drive. Yes, I own some 8tracks ;))

Edit: wow, I completely missed your link. That's awesome. I definitely want one. Like, now ;)
You'd have to write drivers for it if none exist, I seriously doubt it'd just work in Linux.
