Hi all,

I'm going to switch my desktop to Ubuntu from another distro, and I would like to know the exact versions of Firefox and Evolution that are in place on 10.10 right now. If Ubuntu uses newer versions than what I have now, then I should be able to upgrade in place. If they're older then I'll have to export a bunch of stuff and import them back.

Thanks.

From the packages.ubuntu.com (http://packages.ubuntu.com/) search:

Firefox: 3.6.13+build3+nobinonly-0ubuntu0.10.10.1
Evolution: 2.30.3-1ubuntu6

If you want to see all your applications by version:

List with explanations of programs, not for reinstall
dpkg -l > ~/installed_programs.txt

I'm not currently running Ubuntu. I wanted to check config file compatibility with the versions I'm currently running so I know what I need to do to save my information.

Thanks.
