View Full Version : [ubuntu] Gnome bottom panel has no buttons from open programs

The bottom panel, when you open a program or minimise a program, sends a buttons to the lower Gnome panel but for some reason I get no buttons other then the few that I have permanent installed on the panel, so when you minimise a program to work on the desktop, you have to reload it again and probably the original program is still on the board and if you do that for a while you could have a bunch of the same programs open at the same time.

Right click on a blank area of the panel and select "Add to Panel". From the popup window select "Windows List" and at the bottom click on "Add".

In the panel, you will note two vertical dotted lines. Right click and move these two vertical lines as far to the left as possible without moving them to the left of any other permanent ones. This will allot room for the open app buttons to appear on the right side of the vertical dotted lines.
