how to use gtalk in ubuntu

i just went to the software center and downloaded google talk app,,,,i am still trying to figure out what the startup command would be to add it to the list of startup applications but until then i just start it manually upon boot,,,it will be under the internet section of applications after you install it

i just figured out how to add it to the notification panel,,,open up apps then internet and click and hold on where you see it says google talk and drag it into the notification panel and thats it
