check out mencoder, its part of the mplayer project and will do that - avidemux is nice for grabbing sections of audio or just converting a track.

i think future you should make some attempt at naming your thread relevantly. not to be a forum nazi but "help please" is not just a bad topic name, its kind of a **** move, no?
