View Full Version : [SOLVED] sound won't appear in top panel bar

usually, a sound options application will appear in the top panel of the desktop. It would be used to lower/raise volume, and even change tracks from rhythmbox even if it wasn't actually opened. but somehow, it has disappeared. I have gone to "add to panel" (what you get when you right-click the panel) and that application is not in the list.
thanks if you van figure out how to get it back

crap. somehow I killed the Internet connection status too. someone help me!

well, that got my sound back (Thank You!) but now I have to figure out how to get my internet connection status back up there but thanks anyway!

just found out to get the internet connection status back up for anyone who wanted to know. right click on the panel=> add to panel=> notification area. that fixed it.

Oh, you even had the entire notification area removed.:p
