Trying to install windows xp. am using ubuntu 10 and an acer aspire one computer. I used wine to run the install but upon installing it says no valid system partitions found set up unable to continue. what to i do? help is appreciated

You can not install XP itself using Wine!

We need to know what you've done and what you're now trying to do. Also please post the output from terminal of this command:


sudo parted -l

BTW that's a lower case L.

Also which Ubuntu "10"? 10.04 or 10.10?

As said, you can't install XP in Wine.

It's not a good idea to install a pirated OS, as you don't know what might have been messed with.
