I can't get unity to install:
Xubuntu/Peppermint

this is what I get.

unity-2d-default-settings:
Depends: indicator-appmenu but it is not installable
Depends: indicator-datetime but it is not installable
Depends: indicator-me but it is not going to be installed
Depends: unity-2d-launcher but it is not going to be installed
Depends: unity-2d-panel but it is not going to be installed
Depends: unity-2d-places but it is not going to be installed
Depends: unity-2d-spread but it is not going to be installed
Depends: metacity but it is not going to be installed

Are you on pure Xubuntu? You'll have to install Gnome (I.e. ubuntu-desktop) first, I think, since Unity depends on it.
