I just installed ubuntu 10.10 netbook remix on my netbook. I use a toshiba NB205. I did a clean install and afterwards, it showed installation complete; however, on attempting to reboot, the system hangs after I select ubuntu from the bootloader menu. On searching the forum, I saw a similar post where the poster was advised to run the bootscript. I did the same, but the output is different and I'm not sure what exactly it means. The output from the results.txt file is below. Please help, I need to get my installation working.

I'm not a techie so I don't know why you're having problems, but I have a Toshiba NB205 and can tell you I had 10.04 Netbook Remix running on it briefly, loved it, then upgraded to 10.10 with really bad results. It started but would freeze if I didn't use the touchpad every few seconds, including downloads, and was just really sluggish in general. So I didn't have much to lose and just found a download of 10.04 Netbook again and reinstalled. It works great on my NB205, no problems at all. It's an LTS release into 2013, too. Looks like you can still get it at http://linux.softpedia.com/get/System/Operating-Systems/Linux-Distributions/Ubuntu-Netbook-Remix-Lucid-Lynx-53763.shtml.
I figure I'll just keep running it until I see a more stable upgrade released... maybe 11.04, but this time I'll wait to read the reviews before I hit the upgrade button.
