Everytime I write "gem install postgres" the Output is :
Building native extensions. This could take a while...
ERROR: Error installing postgres:
ERROR: Failed to build gem native extension.
/usr/bin/ruby1.9.1 extconf.rb
extconf.rb:4:in `<main>': uninitialized constant PLATFORM (NameError)
Gem files will remain installed in /var/lib/gems/1.9.1/gems/postgres-0.7.9.2008.01.28 for inspection.
Results logged to /var/lib/gems/1.9.1/gems/postgres-0.7.9.2008.01.28/ext/gem_make.out
I followed all the cases like mine asking about installing postgres with gem but it seems like that my problem is different. Please help me.!!
